How far do you travel? Do you charge a travel fee?

General Questions

How long will it take to get my pictures back?

You will receive your images in an online gallery to view and download within 3-4 weeks of the photo shoot. If you need to get them sooner, let me know. I do offer a rush delivery for an extra charge.

I love to travel! The Pacific Northwest has so many beautiful places to take amazing pictures. There is no charge for travel within 40 miles of Tumwater. Typically if I can get there in 45 minutes or less I will do it with no charge. If you would like me to travel somewhere that is farther away, let me know, and we can discuss how much the travel fee would be.

Where will my session be held?

Anywhere you would like! If you want to take pictures in your home, at a park, or go on an adventure, I'm in! Don't know where to go? No Problem! Check out my locations page to get a feel for some of my favorite places.

What's the best time of day to take pictures?

I am a sucker for the warm glow of "golden hour," which is about an hour before sunset. The lighting at that time is perfect to give you soft, creamy skin tones with beautiful natural light.

Do you offer mini-sessions?

There is a time and place for mini-sessions. However, in most cases it works best to do a full session so that we can get a good variety of images and you won't feel rushed. If you are interested in a mini-session, let's talk about whether or not that will be a good fit for your needs.

What if the weather is bad?

Well, let's be honest... We live in Washington. It rains a lot! Luckily, since it rains a lot, we know how to deal with it. You have several options. If you want to reschedule for a nicer day, I'm happy to work with you to find a time that works to take your pictures. If you want to go for it, I am happy to dance in the rain with you and your family! If you have a place indoors that you want to go, we can do that too.

How many people can be included in a family session?

Family Questions

Can We include our pet?

It's very common to bring a pet to your session. Animals can be unpredictable which may cause distractions during your session. It can be beneficial if you have someone who can care for your pet if you want any pictures without them.

Families come in all shapes and sizes. I am more than happy to take family pictures no matter what your family looks like! My Family session is for a single family. However, if you have additional family members or a whole family reunion, we can create a package for you that will fit your needs. Feel free to reach out, and we can talk through what you are looking for and how we can help.

When is the best time of year to get your senior pictures?

How many outfits or props can I use?

Senior Questions

I don't limit the number of outfit changes or props you can have. However, we want to make sure that we have enough time to get plenty of pictures, so make sure that you plan accordingly. I recommend three outfits or less, but of course it's up to you if you want to try more.

Senior pictures are typically due to the school yearbook in the fall of your senior year. Most seniors get their senior pictures taken in the summer prior to their senior year, which gives you great weather and plenty of time.

Can we go to more than one location?

Do you have any location recommendations?

The senior session comes with one location, which you can choose. If you have more than one location where you would like to go, we can make it happen for an additional charge.

Absolutely! Check out my location blog for ideas on where we can go!

I have downtime planned between events on my wedding day. Will I be charged for the downtime?

Can our Family and Friends take pictures during our wedding events?

Wedding Questions

Yes, your session price is determined by the full length of the session from start to finish. Although you may have scheduled downtime, I will be utilizing some of this time to back up files and prepare for your next event.

Yes, and no. They are welcome to take as many group pictures as they would like, but I recommend that they leave space for us to do our job so that you can get the best quality images possible. When there are multiple people taking pictures at once, people have a tendency to have straying eyes, so during the group pictures, I will direct everyone to look at my camera. When it comes time for me to take solo pictures and pictures of the couple on their own, it is not appropriate for others to be taking pictures. I want my focus to be on you without distractions, and I want you to be comfortable and relaxed without having extra people around.

If I need to cancel my wedding, is the initial deposit refundable?

The initial deposit is nonrefundable. Once we've signed the contract, I will be exclusively committed to your event and will turn down any other offers for sessions on that day.

Can we pay part of the amount after the wedding?

Full payment is required before the event. If there is a need for overtime or other product upgrades on the day of your wedding, will obviously be due after the wedding. If you have any concerns about the payment schedule, let's chat!
